Thanks to DD for sending this article about a new Firefox plugin that lets you sneak under the Chinese firewall and surf the web as if you were in China. Are they making this tool for Burma’s firewall too? How can we use it for good?

I think this election is really interesting in how it’s been inspiring so many different people to make their own promotional Obama videos. This one was was cute, not only because of all their O signs, and how seriously they take the production, but because it’s in Phiiiiiiiilly! If you’re unfamiliar with the asbestos rowhouses, the Chinese take-outs, the parks, the smiling people with stylin’ hats, you just won’t get it. A very large part of me remains convinced that I’ve been spending my adult years in the wrong city, even though Beantown is lovely…
